Property Features

Built in 1901, Slaugham Manor is a fine country home in Haywards Heath. The elegant manor house sits close to the moated ruins of Slaugham Place, which was built during the reign of James I. The property was converted into a hotel in the 1950s, when the Grade II listed building was known as the Slaugham Place Country Club. Since the 1970s, this period property has also been used as a training and conference facility.

The main building of Slaugham Manor offers approximately 22,000 square feet of modern accommodation and event space over four floors. The ground floor has a friendly reception area, offices, three meeting rooms, and a canteen and kitchen. Sixteen bedrooms as well as gym and laundry facilities are on the first floor, which also has two conference and training rooms. The second floor has additional conference rooms and offices.

The scenic grounds of Slaugham Place have several additional properties, including the stone Paddocks building. The 12,000-square-foot Marlets building has 44 bedrooms, while the three-storey Ryders Block has been converted into offices. Ryders Block has approximately 3,600 square feet of contemporary office accommodation. Along with office spaces over three floors, the building has a kitchenette and IT room on the ground floor.

Situated within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Slaugham Place and its historic manor house are close to convenient transport links. Just to the west is the A23 road, a major route linking the area with Brighton, Central London, and the M23 and M25 motorways. About a 15-minute drive from the property is Balcombe rail station, which is served by regular mainline trains to London Bridge, London Victoria and Brighton.
