Liverpool has also been chosen to host the upcoming International Festival for Business, which will attract business leaders from more than 90 countries. This event will be a great opportunity to increase the Liverpool's commercial links with other successful business cities and to create new partnerships with a far-reaching economic impact. Moreover, the Liverpool city region has a clear international projection, as local businesses have established ties with emerging markets in China, Brazil, India, and other large global economies.

Business opportunities are also plentiful outside Liverpool. The most recent Merseyside Economic Review drew attention to the potential of locations like Knowsley, which in 2014 experienced a record high level of entrepreneurial activity.
