The aisles must be straight and easily accessible. The lobby area should reflect the right impression to the client on what the business is about and how seriously it should be taken. When a client enters the office, it should be appealing and welcoming.
Lighting and ventilation in the workplace should be carefully considered when determining the office planning. The natural light has positive effects on the human body and brain, helping us to stay alert and attentive. Therefore, placing the workstations close to windows will encourage employees to stay focused on their work. Poor ventilation in the workplace can pose a high risk for the employees’ health. High levels of carbon dioxide can cause extreme fatigue, headache, nausea, shortness of breath, and dizziness among other symptoms. Irritation and discomfort affect employee performance and concentration can increase sick leave. Overall, poor ventilation can seriously affect business flow and operating results.
It is important for employees to have breakout areas where they can take a break and relax in a modern, friendly environment that it is informal and nothing like the meeting rooms where (some of them) spend their entire day.
